If your guy is a gadget man but still hasn’t got an MP3 player a great way to introduce him is to buy something from the SanDisk Sansa range.
Many of these products range from under £50 and a good starting point would be to check out the SanDisk Sansa c150 which costs little more than £50 since its now almost a year old. It can store around 500 songs and has some nice additional features such as an FM Stereo Tuner but ultimately you get what you pay for, a simple MP3 player. I just happen to like the styling on this and think in todays market it represents good value for money as a fun introduction to the world of MP3 Players. Worth noting that at £10 less the SanDisk Sansa c140 may be tempting but note that you only get half the capacity. Main thing to think about is how much you want to spend and check out reviews before buying if you want to spend a little more. If he’s really into gadgets and you’re not you’ll be better off giving him a budget and letting him choose the one he wants, trust me he’ll appreciate it.

Finally if you read my last post about Christmas you’ll know that I raved on about a racing day gift. There are now so many Driving Experience gifts to choose from that you can always go for something a little different.How about driving a Monster Truck, Dumper Trucks, Tanks or even JCB Diggers? These days out are great fun and importantly show that you have put some thought into it rather than just buying the latest gift set of aftershave and soap (although that’s fine if he’ll really appreciate it).

It’s an obvious place to start but there are a few ground rules we should consider. Flowers can still be a great present and really make her feel special.There are a few things to bear in mind here. In most cases Roses will score well ahead of cheaper options such as carnations. I’m sure there are exceptions out there but this is a good rule of thumb if you’re unsure. Also think about other unusual and very special flowers, can you remember what she likes, or you could ask her friend or mum? Orchids are exotic and Lilies are very popular and are often mixed in with Roses to give a fantastic Bouquet of flowers. Also think carefully about the intended recipient before deciding where to get them delivered. Would she be impressed or embarrassed to get a huge bunch of flowers delivered in the office at work? Work environments vary and unbelievably some still make people feel a little uncomfortable if anything non work related happens (This is wrong in my opinion but worth thinking about). Also bear in mind that jumping on a crowded bus to get home whilst carrying her bag, laptop and a huge bunch of flowers may take some of the shine off your gesture.
Rather than go for clothing or underwear which is a minefield for the average male you could play safe and think about getting her a new bag. The Handbag has quickly become one of the key accessories that can make a women feel very special, no matter what she’s wearing. If you have some bonus left over and can afford to go for a designer bag you’ll really go a long way to impressing her but be aware that expensive labels is only half the battle, you’ll need to think about the styles she likes. If you’re trying to think of something other than chocolates how about a picture frame?
OK it looks a little boring on the surface but once you put that special picture in it of the two of you cuddling or on a special holiday or of that special wedding day it becomes a perfect romantic gift she’ll really appreciate.
Again be careful picking the frame and think about where it may go. Is it something she’ll put in the office so she feels that you’re nearby or will it go above the fireplace in the front room?
